Letter Bluff — Support

We're a two-person studio and we read everything, though it can take us a little while to answer. Email us at support@letterbluff.app — bugs, questions, ideas, or anything else. Tell us your device model and what you were doing when the problem happened, and we'll get back to you as quickly as we can.

Common questions

How do I play? See the how-to-play guide. The short version: one letter in every puzzle doesn't belong — leave it out and spell the real word.

Why is most of the menu locked at first? The Daily, Quests, Boards and Shop open once you finish chapter 1. The first chapter is just you and the puzzles.

I spelled a real word and nothing happened — why? The word has to fill the blanks exactly, and it has to be in the game's dictionary. If a common word is missing, please email us the word and we'll look at it. In the Daily Impostor there is exactly one solution.

Why won't the game just tell me which letter is the bluff? Because finding it is the game. Hints narrow the search, but the final call is always yours. If a level has you beaten, skip it — it's free, and the level waits for you.

What are coins and how do I earn them? Coins are the in-game currency. You earn them by finishing levels, opening the chapter chest, reaching streak milestones, completing weekly quests, claiming the free daily coins in the Shop, and inviting friends — or you can buy them in the Shop. You spend them where you need them: on hints from the hint bubble, and on streak restores from the daily calendar.

Can I run out of hints for good? No. When your own hints run out, you can buy one with coins right from the hint bubble. And you never need a hint to move on — skipping is always free.

How does the Daily Impostor work? One puzzle a day, the same for everyone in the world, with no hints. Your score goes on the daily board, with time as the tiebreak. The puzzle changes at midnight, your local time.

I missed a day. Is my streak gone? Not necessarily. Tap the missed day on the calendar and spend a streak restore to reopen its puzzle; catch the bluff and the streak is repaired. You earn restores at streak milestones, and you can get more with coins or in the Shop.

What are weekly quests? Three goals that refresh every Monday. Progress adds up during normal play — claim each reward from the Quests screen, and finish all three to open the weekly chest.

How do the leaderboards work? There are four boards: Daily, Monthly, All time, and Streaks. Every level scores once, the first time you finish it, so replaying can never hurt your rank.

How do I invite a friend? Open Invite friends from your profile and share your code — they look like BLF-XXXX. Your friend enters it on their own invite screen. You both earn bonus coins once they finish chapter 1.

My friend's code won't redeem — why? Each account can redeem one code, ever, and you can't redeem your own. If it still fails, check your connection and that the code is typed exactly.

What does Remove Ads remove? The ads that appear between levels. The optional "watch an ad to double" rewards stay available, because watching those is always your choice.

How do I restore purchases on a new phone? Open Settings → Restore purchases. Remove Ads comes back straight away. Coins, hints and streak restores you bought are part of your saved progress and travel with it.

How do I keep my progress on a new device? Your progress is backed up automatically while you're online. To carry it to another device, open Settings → Account and sign in there, then sign in the same way on the new device.

Can I play offline? Yes — the campaign works offline. Leaderboards, the Shop and friend invites need a connection, and everything catches up when you're back online.

The game has no sound — what do I check? Settings has separate switches for sound and music. Check your device's volume and silent mode too.

How do I delete my account? Settings → Account → Delete account. Removal is immediate and permanent. There's more on the account deletion page and in our privacy policy.
