Letter Bluff — Privacy Policy

Letter Bluff can be played without creating an account. This policy explains what is collected when you play, what changes if you sign in, and how advertising works in the game.
What we collect
Playing as a guest (the default): your progress, settings and scores are stored on your device. The game also creates a randomly generated anonymous ID, used to back up your progress, post your scores to the leaderboards, and record level results (such as which levels were solved or skipped, and how long they took) so we can tune the game's difficulty. No name, email address or contact information is collected.
If you sign in: we store your sign-in email, your display name, your game progress and scores, and a record of your purchases, so that your progress can be restored on another device.
Leaderboards: your display name and scores are visible to other players on the in-game leaderboards. You can change your display name at any time from your profile.
Invites: if you use an invite code, we record which account invited which, so that both sides can receive their reward.
Purchases: payments are processed entirely by Google Play or the App Store. We never see or store payment card details. We keep a record of what was purchased, and we check each receipt with the store, so that we can deliver and restore your purchases.
Advertising
Letter Bluff is free to play and shows ads, served by Google AdMob. There are two kinds: ads that appear between levels, and optional ads you choose to watch in exchange for a reward.
To deliver and measure ads, Google collects information from your device — such as its advertising ID, IP address (from which an approximate location can be derived), and how you interact with ads — and may use it to show ads based on your interests where that is permitted. This information goes to Google directly; we do not receive it. You can read how Google uses it in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or turn off ad personalization, in your device's settings. Buying Remove Ads removes the ads between levels; rewarded ads remain available because they only ever play when you ask for one.
When you earn a reward from an ad, we record that a reward was earned and where in the game it happened, linked to your anonymous ID. We use this to understand which rewards players find useful.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't collect your precise location, contacts, photos or files. We don't ask for your real name.
Who handles your data
Online features (progress backup, accounts, leaderboards, the daily puzzle's scores, the shop catalog) are powered by Supabase, which stores data on our behalf. Ads are served by Google. Purchases are handled by Google Play or the App Store. Traffic is encrypted in transit.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and all server-side data at any time from within the game: Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — your profile, progress backup, scores, leaderboard entries, invite records and purchase records are removed. Data stored on your device can be cleared by uninstalling the app. If you no longer have the game installed, see the account deletion page.
Children
Letter Bluff is a general-audience word game. It is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
